One plan. Everything in it.

No free tier, no credits to run out of, nothing held back for a higher tier. One subscription covers every course you can think of. You can buy it here or inside the app — here is cheaper, and the reason is on this page.

Subscribe on the App Store

Apple sets the price for your region and it is higher than the prices beside it. The App Store takes a larger cut than Dodo Payments does, and we pass that difference on rather than pocket it.

Download on the App Store

3-day free trial. Managed in Settings → Subscriptions on your device, like every other App Store subscription.

Either way it is the same subscription and the same account — it follows you onto any iPhone you sign in on.

What the subscription includes

  • Any topic — Thorne builds the whole course, start to finish.
  • Tap Mila the moment a sentence doesn't land. Plain words first, then an analogy.
  • Checkpoints that catch what you only think you understood.
  • A recap built from exactly what tripped you up, not a generic summary.
  • Eighteen languages, and a course keeps the one it was written in.

And what it doesn't

  • iPhone only. There is no browser version, no iPad app and no Android app — if you don't have an iPhone, don't buy this.
  • No free tier. Every lesson is written on demand and costs us money to generate, so there isn't a free one to fall back on.
  • Nothing drip-fed. Monthly and yearly buy the same product; yearly is only cheaper.

Questions people actually ask

Why is the website cheaper?

Because the App Store’s cut of an in-app purchase is larger than Dodo Payments’. Selling on the web nets us more at a lower price, so you pay less and we keep more.

Which one should I buy?

The web, unless you want to try the app before paying anything: the 3-day trial is an App Store introductory offer, so it exists on that side only. A subscription bought here starts and is charged immediately.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and every course you built stays readable afterwards. What stops is generating new ones.

Can I get a refund?

Subscribed here and it is not for you? Write to tim@waitprofessor.com within 14 days and we refund in full, no explanation needed. App Store purchases are Apple’s to refund, through Report a Problem.

Where do I cancel?

With whoever sold it to you. Bought in the app: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Bought here: the billing portal the app links you to, run by Dodo Payments.

Do I need an account?

Yes — the subscription is attached to your account, not to a device, which is what lets you subscribe in a browser and then sign in on your phone and find it already there.
